		<description><![CDATA[We held an executive forum about 3 years ago where one of our speakers was the corporate strategist for a company which owns many different restaurant chains.

He described a competitive assessment under a very unusual definition for competition:
YOUR COMPETITOR IS ANYONE WHO RAISES CONSUMER EXPECTATIONS.  

Restaurants sell good food, but also a customer experience.  If you get incredible service at a store or another restaurant or from really ANY provider, you will assess other customer service providers by a new - higher - standard.

This kind of redefinition gets you out of a box built by your own assumptions and prejudices.]]></description>
